Empowered Choice Support Services (ECSS) offers services to individuals with an NDIS plan. We support and care for participants as they navigate life with a disability. Our services are aligned with individual’s plans so they can maximise the support they receive. At ECSS, we place the participant at the core of all we do. Our services are customised to the needs of participant’s and we carefully select and match our support workers with individuals to increase the likelihood of goal attainment.
At ECSS, we are all about turning goals into achievements. We work with participants to increase their quality of life and independence.
Daily Personal Activities
Assistance with daily personal activities covers things such as personal hygiene activities and the supervision of personal daily tasks.
We support participants in living as independently as possible at home and in the community. From showering to shaving and so much in between, the team at ECSS are here to make these tasks as manageable for you as possible.
Our support workers are matched with participants during the initial consultations to ensure you feel comfortable with your ECSS team member. Participants then form a bond with their core support worker which makes daily personal activities much easier to accomplish.
Do you need assistance with household tasks? Perhaps you find hanging out a load of washing difficult as a result of your disability or you could benefit from someone helping with jobs around the house.
Whatever you are struggling to manage, the team at ECSS can assist! We are a team of
support workers who want to see you increase your capabilities through the provision of service.
We encourage and assist; ultimately getting tasks done your way! We work with participants to increase their ability to perform household tasks and are always willing to step in when needed.
If help with household tasks is something you are needing, we can provide the supports to get your house looking and feeling like a home.
Short Term Accommodation
Did you know Empowered Choices Support Services offers short-term accommodation to participants needing a place to call home?
Our short-term accommodation is inviting and completely self-contained. It offers the perfect space to relax and unwind. Some participants who have utilised this service have done so in the interim to secure a more permanent living situation.
Others have used the accommodation as a respite type service; giving carers and themselves a well-earnt break.
Depending on your needs, the short-term accommodation can include daily or overnight support. In this circumstance, activities including cooking, arts and crafts and exercise are integrated into the participant’s day, ensuring a fun and fulfilling stay!
Social, Economic and
Participating in the community takes on many forms for participants of ECSS. Our support workers encourage clients to become active members of society - engaging in social, economic and community activities.
No two days are the same for our participants! Our activities include attending Bingo at the local RSL club, going to water aerobics, engaging in volunteer work and more!
When participants are a part of something bigger than themselves, they thrive. At ECSS, we believe every individual has the ability and potential to participate as part of our local community.
If you’re looking to make a difference to your life and the lives of others through participation, our support workers are keen to meet you!
CB - Finding and Keeping a Job
There is nothing quite as rewarding as securing (and keeping) a job! At ECSS, our support workers work with participants to engage in the process of finding a job. This includes actively searching for jobs that are a good fit with the individual through to assisting them once they secure the job!
Our support workers want you to succeed, and employment can be challenging for anyone. However, with the right supports in place, ECSS has seen individuals thrive in the workforce.
Our support workers can help you with practice screening questions, getting dressed for the interview and filling out the paperwork to get you ready for your first day. Once hired, our support workers can offer transport as well as assisting during your rostered hours of work.
CB - Increased Social & Community Participation
ECSS is involved in the participants development and training to increase the individual’s skills so they can participate in the community, and social and recreational activities.
We work closely with participants to understand their unique situations and cater support to develop their skill sets.
